Hello to the members of the #HHC. I am Tracey, a 46 year old fun loving, hard working and living life to the fullest kind of gal. In what little spare time I have I enjoy reading, gardening and when I can I crew chief for my husband who races NHRA drag racing. I am getting to put my HHC skills to use in full force now as we have just moved. Most of the tough stuff is behind us now and getting to the point we can sit back and enjoy the new home.
I joined the #HHC because you guessed it, I hate housework. While I do enjoy living in a clean and tidy house I am a firm believer that a house is just a building. It is the people you share your house with that make it a home. When I first married I kept my house clean, beds always made and etc…. When my son came along I tried my best to keep that up, then one day while I was cleaning and my little boy wanted to play, it hit me; he will not be a little boy forever and when he is grown and gone I will have plenty of time for housework. From that day forward while my house was clean it never seemed very tidy. We proudly LIVED in our home. My son is now grown and has a place of his own, and I do have more time for housework. But, when he is here and says sit with me mom, my rear end hits the couch.
I am honored to be the Feature Member for November. As we approach Thanksgiving there are so many reasons to be thankful.
I am thankful for my family. My husband of 28 years who is the most wonderful man I have ever known. My son who has turned into this amazing young man. My wonderful cats: Andy and Barney. My mother who is also a great friend. My dad who still calls me daddy’s little girl. My brother, who I will share more about in the next paragraph. My new sister in law and her two lovely daughters. My chosen sister who has been my best friend since middle school. My god-daughter who is my angel girl.
I am thankful that we are in the USA. I spent last weekend with my brother, his last weekend at home before leaving for Afghanistan. We have talked about some of the cultures he has seen in his military career and this reaffirms that we are truly blessed. We are able to worship God, choose who and when we marry, we live our lives freely. When my brother left for Iraq my husband shook his hand and thanked him for his service, my brother emotionally told him if he really wanted to thank him he could make sure that we lived our lives to the fullest, they were fighting so that we may be free. We saw him off at the airport just a few short days ago. While it is always hard to watch him leave this time was really tough. This was the first time he left a wife with his first child on the way and two step daughters. I don’t know that I would ever be able to express how proud I am of him. You can read more about my brother HERE.
With that being said I would like to ask for the help of the members of the #HHC. There are two things I would like to ask of you. ONE: As you say your prayers, remember the men and women serving and that are not home in the comfort of their families. TWO: When you see a soldier or a veteran tell them how much we appreciate the service they provide.
I hope that each of you have a blessed November and a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Tracey,
It is so nice to learn more about you after following you and tweeting with you in the past. I have been missing from Twitter but look forward to being back and seeing your tweets. So nice to read about your brother. I will remember him and his family in my prayers and he is a true hero and we are ALL very lucky to be Americans and it’s b/c of people like him that we can live in such freedom. You too, have a blessed Thanksgiving. Hope to tweet with you soon.
Take Care,
Robyn
