I’m terrible at meal planning! Plain and simple. I’ve used cookbooks and tried to plan a week’s worth of dinners before. Many times the recipes were complex and used cooking terms that I was unsure of. More times than not, I would get home from the grocery store without a key ingredient (because it wasn’t on my list) which completely threw off my “plan.”
I was ecstatic when I discovered E-Mealz! I chose the Family Meal Plan for Walmart (my grocery store of choice), although there are many different plans available, including other stores, low-fat, low-carb, meals for 2, etc. (Click HERE to view the E-Mealz Meal Plan Options). My particular meal plans are based on what is on sale at Walmart for the week (so I’m saving money too!).
Each week I simply print out that week’s one-page menu plan with accompanying one-page grocery list. I love the grocery lists, which are broken down by grocery store aisles/departments and are neatly organized and number-coded by meal number. If I need to eliminate one night’s menu, I simply mark through that meal number and corresponding number on the grocery list. The grocery list also leaves ample space for me to add other grocery and household items to my list as needed. My particular grocery lists also include the approximate price (varies by location) of each item (Easy to Budget!).
The E-Mealz menu plans include easy and delicious recipes for the entree, as well as the side dishes. I was amazed that the directions could be contained in a very small area on the page, and were easy enough for me (a self-professed “non-cook”). I remember my first E-Mealz dinner seemed too easy and I actually sent a message to E-Mealz to make sure that was all there was to it. It is very satisfying to provide my family
with a hearty, home-cooked meal without slaving over the stove for hours! The best thing about E-Mealz is that my family actually likes the dinners and have now started requesting their new favorite meals.
In summary–easy, convenient, money-saving, time-saving AND it brings our family together at the dinner table!! E-Mealz gets the Housework Haters Club “Thumbs Up” Award for helping busy and budget-minded families!
And if being “Housework Haters Club APPROVED” isn’t enough endorsement, then check out what Dave Ramsey said:
