A few weeks ago while buying groceries at my favorite local Walmart during the holiday hustle, I stumbled upon Purex® Complete 3-in-1® Laundry Sheets.  They were priced at $5 for 20 sheets and the dispenser; or $5 for a value refill pack of 24 (Note: Prices may vary).  Since I would have paid over $10 for a bottle of my normal liquid detergent and probably about $5 or $6 for a bottle of my favorite fabric softener–and since I had already filled my cart with items sure to exceed my general budget for that trip–I decided to give the Purex® Complete 3-in-1® sheets a try!

Before using, I carefully read the instructions.  (Note: Instructions are included for both top-loading and front-loading (HE) washing machines. But no worries! Its easy! Basically, you just throw in the sheet.)  I was startled when I realized that the sheets are pretty thin and I had inadvertently tossed in two sheets! I quickly retrieved one of the sheets and threw it away. Unfortunately, this test review cost me one sheet based on my mistake, but my satisfaction with the product overall more than made up for that loss. 

There was no mess as I was accustomed to with my liquid detergent and fabric softener, and I honestly felt like I was forgetting something.  But no, that was it.  Just “Toss it and Forget it!”  The drying process was equally as easy since I simply tossed the sheet in the dryer with the clothes. (Note: During the transition of one load from the washer to the dryer, the laundry sheet had apparently fell to the floor without my knowledge. You want to make sure that the sheet gets tossed into the dryer to benefit from the anti-static properties located in the stripe on the sheet that becomes activated from the heat of the dryer.)

The real test was at the end of the drying cycle when I pulled my first load out to inspect.  I was very pleased with the fresh, but not-overwhelming scent the Purex® Complete 3-in-1® Laundry Sheets had left on our clothes.  (Note: Available scents include Pure & Clean(100% hypoallergenic), Spring Oasis™ and Tropical Escape™.  I have tried Spring Oasis™ and Tropical Escape™ and loved them both!)  The clothes were soft, clean, free of static and seemed to me to appear brighter in color than usual.  I couldn’t wait to do a second load!  And for me, a housework-hater that particularly dislikes laundry, this was a major accomplishment! 

After testing Purex® Complete 3-in-1® in approximately 33 loads of laundry, I can say without hesitation that there will be no more heavy, messy and costly jugs of detergent and fabric softener brought into my house!  I have actually made more room in my laundry room cabinet by disposing of those huge, messy containers!  I definitely give Purex® Complete 3-in-1® Laundry Sheets the Housework Haters Club “Thumbs Up” Award for helping busy and budget-minded families!
